New User General "Best Practices" Question

Forgive me if this is poorly worded this is my first foray into GWT.

Say I have a LoginPage extending HorizontalPanel , they click login and its succesfull, I want another MaingPage widget, do I just RootPanel.get().add(new MainPage() ) ?  Or how do I handle the flow of page to page ?

Any suggestions are appreciatied!
