[android-beginners] Re: Hello World app - the emulator is different

A few things that can be done.
1. You need to give the emulator some time for it to come up. It
isn't exactly instantaneous :)
2.  Use the "adb logcat" command from the SDK or DDMS in Eclipse to
check if any exception is being thrown.
