Possibly:
    ProxyPass /frontpage balancer://applicationcluster ...
or:
    ProxyPassMatch ^/frontpage(/.*)?$ balancer://applicationcluster$1 ...
?

With:
    ProxyPassReverse /frontpage balancer://applicationcluster
this time.
