My Favorite Projects 3/5 - Jono Bacon: Putty

Putty - not the most exciting program in the world, but truly essential. Putty is a little tool to connect to a remote shell. When I need to use Windows, Putty is essential in being able to talk o a remote Linux or Mac machine. The makers of Putty also provide pscp; a Windows version of scp. I have used to this literally hundreds of times when out with clients and I need to grab a much needed file.

Each week an open source personality will be sharing with us one of their favorite, but perhaps not so well known, open source applications.
