XPde 0.5.1 Released - Screenshots (XP Linux Desktop)
|
XPde is "a complete desktop environment for Linux on x86. It tries to make easier for Windows XP users to use a Linux box. Nothing more, no clipboard compatibility between Gtk and Qt applications, no emulation of Windows applications, no unification on the widgets of X applications, just a desktop environment."
Well we've taken some screenshots and it is almost frightening how similar XPde is to the XP desktop! In the shots XPde is running on the latest Barnix Linux distro

The reason I use linux is to get away from the awkward Microsoft look-and-feel.
I hate the always "rise-on-focus" that Microsoft Windows has.
I like being able to use a window while part of it STAYS BEHIND another window,
i.e. not jump up and cover over everything.
